Question and answer
How do I register for help from the TWB dietician?
You can easily register by this form Please fill out the form. After you have provided your details, we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
Do I need a referral for a TWB dietician?
You do not need a referral letter from your doctor to receive help from our dieticians. However, for some insurers you do need a referral letter. Otherwise you will have to pay for the appointments with the dietician yourself. Check the general terms and conditions of your health insurer to see if you need a referral letter. Or call the Care Center on Phone: 088 560 2000 .
Do I have to pay for the dietician's help myself?
In the Netherlands, the reimbursement for the dietician is partly included in the basic package. This means that you are entitled to the following from the compulsory basic insurance:
- 3 hours of dietary advice per calendar year.
Note:
The costs of this 3-hour dietary advice are first covered by the deductible
Do you need more dietary advice? Then the insurance can pay for this from your supplementary insurance. You will then not pay any deductible. Of course, you must have supplementary insurance that includes dietary advice. Check this in the general terms and conditions of your insurance.
Do you have diabetes, COPD, or are at risk for cardiovascular disease? Different rules sometimes apply to reimbursement for dietary advice. If you are receiving this care from your GP, your health insurer will often fully cover the dietary advice. This is called "integrated care." You can ask your GP if this applies to you.
