What is home care?
Home support is for anyone who needs help structuring their daily lives. These can be families. Elderly people. People with mental health problems. Or people with a mental disability.
When you receive home care from us, we come to your home to help you with everyday tasks. For example, we provide support with:
- organizing the household
- structuring the day
- arranging the mail and financial matters
- go with you to the doctor or another appointment
- making or re-establishing contact with people around you
- the education of child(ren)
- relieving the burden on an informal caregiver
We'll look at how you're doing now and how you could improve. With personalized attention, your life will gain more structure and clarity. We'll also help you gather support from people you can ask for help when needed. Because together, we can often make it work.

How do I apply for home care?
To receive home care, you need a Wmo indication. Wmo stands for Social Support Act. You arrange this via your municipality. Most municipalities have a special Wmo counter.
If you need intensive care for a long period of time, you can apply for an indication under the Long-term Care Act. This is also called a Wlz indication. You can apply for this via the CIZ.
Do you want home support as a family? In some municipalities you can also apply for this via the Center for Youth and Family.
How much does home care cost?
The municipality pays the largest part of the costs for home care. You still have to pay a small part yourself. How much that is, an employee of the Wmo counter of your municipality can tell you.
Do you have a Wlz indication? Then it pays health care office a portion of the costs of care. You will also have to pay something for this yourself. How much that is depends on your income. On the website van het CAK you can calculate this yourself.
