Question and answer

How do I request assistance from TWB?

For help in the home, you need a referral from the municipality. This is called a Wmo indication. Wmo stands for Social Support Act. You apply for this via the municipality. Most municipalities have a special Wmo counter for this. Go to the website of your municipality for more information.

If you need long-term domestic support, you can apply for an indication under the Long-term Care Act. This is also called a Wlz indication. You can apply for this via the CIZ.

Do I need a referral for help from TWB?

You do not need a referral from a doctor. Instead, you must obtain a Wmo indication from the municipality. Wmo stands for Social Support Act. This law states who is entitled to support. What kind of support that should be. And who pays what for this support.

You can apply for a Wmo indication yourself at the municipality. Most municipalities have a special Wmo counter for this.

Are you having trouble with the application? Then you can ask the municipality for help from the client support officer. They will help you fill in the application correctly.

Do I have to pay for the assistance myself?

If you want help in the home from TWB, you need a Wmo indication. What exactly a Wmo indication is and how to apply for it, you can read in the question above. If you have such a Wmo indication, the municipality will pay part of the costs. You pay the rest yourself. You can ask your municipality how much you still have to pay yourself.

Do you have a Wlz indication? Then it pays health care office a portion of the costs of care. You will also have to pay something for this yourself. How much that is depends on your income. On the website van het CAK you can calculate this yourself.

If you can't figure it out, call our colleagues at the Care Center on Phone: 088 560 2000 They will be happy to help you.

Can I request additional help?

That is possible. For example, via our partner Hups. You do not need a Wmo indication for this. You can arrange this completely yourself. You will have to pay for this extra help yourself.

I am looking for fun activities. Where can I find them?

Together with the municipality and residence Meilust we organize Café Entree in Bergen op Zoom 3 times a week. There are also social activities in many other municipalities. You can often find these activities via Google.
