We are here for you during your pregnancy
We are here for you and your child. We help you prepare for your new role as a parent. And you can come to us for vaccinations that will protect your baby from infectious diseases from day 1.
Vaccinations
To protect you and your child, you can receive 2 vaccinations during your pregnancy:
- the 22 week injection against whooping cough
- the flu shot
Both whooping cough and the flu can be dangerous for newborn babies. You can protect your child from these by getting vaccinated during your pregnancy.

Question and answer
Should I get vaccinated during my pregnancy?
You don't have to. Whether or not you get vaccinated is entirely your choice. But we advise you to do so. With the 22-week injection, you protect your child against whooping cough. That can be very dangerous for newborn babies. And they themselves can only get the vaccine when they are 2 months old. If you get vaccinated during your pregnancy, your child will be protected from day 1. Until it is old enough to get the vaccination itself.
In addition, we advise you to get the flu shot if you are 15 weeks pregnant or more between October 1 and March 22. The flu can also have unpleasant consequences for newborn babies.
I would like to request a home visit. How do I do that?
You request a home visit by logging in to the parent portal My Child in Pictures. You log in here securely with your DigiD. Once you have filled out the form, we will contact you.
Are you unable to log in to My Child in Picture with DigiD? Then fill in our contact form in. We will then contact you.
