With Hospice Thuis we simply care for you in your own home. We also support your loved ones in the care they give you. Whenever you need us, we are there for you. If you need time for yourself, we will give you privacy.

Also at home in your final phase of life
If you choose TWB in the final phase of your life, you can call on care and nursing 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. At fixed times. But also at unplanned times. We make your final phase of life as comfortable as possible. In doing so, we take your personal wishes, values and standards into account. Our colleagues therefore work closely with your GP and other care providers involved.
The palliative nurse
Palliative care is the care and support for people who can no longer be cured. A palliative care nurse is specially trained to guide you and your loved ones during your final phase of life. The nurse listens to your story, answers your questions, and contacts Hospice Thuis to provide the appropriate care—care that suits your personal wishes and needs.
If you want to spend your final phase at home, the nurse will arrange for you to receive the right care from us. The palliative nurse will help you to make this final phase of life as comfortable as possible. Would you rather go to a hospice? Then that is also possible.
Palliative Care Network
Our palliative nurses are affiliated with the Palliative Care Network of our region. Through this network, we have contact with other parties that provide care in the final phase of life. We keep each other informed of developments in care around dying. And we can quickly contact each other if necessary for you. Together, we do everything we can to make this final phase as comfortable as possible.

How do I apply for end-of-life care?
Your doctor can register you for starting palliative terminal care. The district nurse and the palliative nurse will look together with you and your loved ones at what care you need.

What does end-of-life care cost?
In most cases, your health insurance will pay for your care in the final phase of life. Check with your health insurance to see if this is the case for you.
