Information for referrers
TWB Youth Health Care supports parents and children. So that every child and every family can get a good start.
What we do
We stand as advisors to parents and educators. We think along. And of course we keep an eye on the health and development of children.
- We guide parents and educators.
- We offer more intensive guidance to parents in a vulnerable situation.
- We do health screenings on children.
- Parents can contact us for vaccinations from the National Vaccination Programme.
Our offer for children and parents
At our consultation centres we monitor the health and development of young children. And we advise parents on all kinds of parenting issues. In addition, we offer extra guidance for vulnerable parents. And our children's dieticians guide parents when children's eating requires a little more attention.
Register for heel prick and hearing test
Has a baby been born? Please register the baby with us within 3 days of birth. This allows us to perform the heel prick and hearing test on time. Both parents and healthcare professionals can report a birth. The parent will receive an email containing the scheduled date and time no later than 1 working day before our visit.

Are you concerned about a child's behavior or development? Then you can request an observation or Video Home Training. Together, we will assess what is needed and which support best suits the situation.

Due to various circumstances in the private situation, some parents are vulnerable. We can provide these parents with more intensive guidance with home visits. This can involve a few home visits during pregnancy. But we also have more intensive programs. In these programs, we guide the parents with home visits until the child is 2 years old. Request a prenatal home visit directly via this link. Or read more via the button below.

Sometimes children's nutrition requires a little more attention. For example, if they are overweight. Or underweight. Or if the child has food allergies. Our pediatric dietician will look together with the parents at what a healthy diet can be for the child.
The lactation consultant helps parents with breastfeeding. With a workshop they prepare parents for breastfeeding. And they are there when breastfeeding does not go smoothly.

Toddler consultants help parents of toddlers who have a Preschool and Early School Education (VVE) referral. We explain why preschool and language development are important. We help with finding a suitable preschool and registration. We also make contact with important partners. In this way, we want to reach more parents and children. We work together with, for example, Mama café, Voorleesexpres, Inwonersondersteuning Roosendaal and In- en Opstapje.
Our toddler consultants can be reached via email address: toddler consultantsroosendaal@
Care pathway tool Promising Start
The first 1000 days are crucial for a child's health. The Kansrijke Start care pathway tool helps maternity care professionals in West Brabant quickly find appropriate support. The tool clearly shows care pathways and referral information for each municipality. For example, it provides support for mental health, substance abuse, home safety, and financial assistance.
