How do I apply for household support from TWB?

For help in the home, you need a referral from the municipality. This is called a Wmo indication. Wmo stands for Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning (Social Support Act). You apply for this through your municipality. Visit the website of the Municipality of Bergen op Zoom for more information.

If you require household support for a long period, you can apply for an assessment under the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz). This is also known as a Wlz assessment. You apply for this through the CIZ.

How much does household support cost?

If you want domestic help from TWB, you need a Wmo indication. You can read exactly what a Wmo indication is and how to apply for one in the question above. If you have such a Wmo indication, the municipality pays part of the costs. You pay the rest yourself. You can inquire with your municipality about how much you still have to pay yourself.

Do you have a Wlz indication? If so, the care office pays part of the care costs. You also have to pay a portion of this yourself. How much that is depends on your income. You can calculate this yourself on the CAK website .

How do I apply for home care?

If you would like to request care from TWB, you can call our Care Centre on 088 560 2000. We will ask you a few questions to get an idea of ​​your situation. Afterwards, we will make an appointment for you with a district nurse. This colleague will visit you at home for a personal introductory meeting to see exactly what you need.

Do I have to pay for the care myself?

Do you require short-term care? For example, after surgery? In that case, the health insurer will cover this under the basic insurance. This means you do not have to pay anything yourself. It also does not count towards your deductible. However, you do need an indication from the district nurse for this. You will receive this during a personal introductory meeting.
